Once you make homemade whipped cream you’ll never go back to store bought! Fluffy, delicious and so good on top of so many things.
One thing you will always find in my fridge is heavy whipping cream. I use it all of the time to cook with and we make homemade whipped cream at least once a week. It is so easy to make and once you do, you’ll never go back to store bought whipped cream ever again.
Homemade Whipped Cream
Add whipping cream to a large mixing bowl (if you have time to chill your bowl first, do. If not, no biggie). add powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
Use the wire whisk attachment to a standing mixer, or hand held mixer, and beat the ingredients together, starting on low speed and increasing to high slowly as it begins to firm up. Beat for 60-90 seconds until stiff peaks form. Scrape down the sides of the bowl about halfway through.
Transfer mixture to a piping bag to pipe onto your favorite dessert, hot chocolate, waffles and more. Serve with fresh berries. Enjoy.
