Mix together the eggs, milk, flour, sugar, vanilla, salt and cinnamon. Heat large skillet or griddle. When skillet is hot, add 1 tbs butter. If butter smokes, your pan is too hot; turn down the heat. Dip each slide of bread into the batter on each side. Let some of the batter drop off, then put on griddle. Cook each slice until golden brown. Add more butter, if necessary, to cook all of the slices. Serve with butter, hot syrup and dust with powdered sugar.
