Despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music, Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz (voice of Benjamin Bratt). Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector (voice of Gael García Bernal), and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history.
Well we just got home from a fun night at the movies. Myron was working so it was just the girls and I, we headed out to see a preview of Disney Pixar’s COCO which will be in theaters November 22nd.
In Disney•Pixar’s “Coco,” aspiring musician Miguel (voice of Anthony Gonzalez) teams up with charming trickster Héctor (voice of Gael García Bernal) on an extraordinary journey through the Land of the Dead. It showcases the importance of family, honoring your ancestors and following your dreams.
From the moment it started I could hear not only my girls laughing, but the entire audience. That is a good sign. There are many clever, funny scenes that just make you laugh out loud. I love when that happens in-between stuffing my face with overpriced buttery popcorn. The colors are vibrant and the music was charming. I don’t know much about the Mexican culture but I feel like I left knowing a little bit more about their tradition. We laughed and cried. All I know is that people will be going loco for Coco!
And I know you will definitely go loco for these fun activity sheets. Just click on image to take you to files and you can choose the ones you want to print from home.
And here is a delicious recipe for you to print out! Make it with the kiddos and have a fun time with your family.
